"The purpose of this research is to examine information seeking behavior of police officers using the Internet in the workplace. The intention of this research is to identify levels of comfort for police officers when they are using the Internet, identify their awareness of online search techniques, and to identify any impact these levels of comfort may have on training strategies or knowledge management initiatives. This research uses existing library and information sciences research on information seeking behavior, as well as existing research on information literacy in the workplace."--Page 4.
