Canada Community Security Program (CCSP)

Before you begin your application

Ensure you have reviewed the program eligibility and application requirements. Each application requires:

• A completed application form
• A completed budget using the provided mandatory template
• A work plan outlining how the funding will be used and how the project elements will lower the risk of hate-motivated crime/incidents at your project site. (This is included in the application)
• A minimum of one (1) quote outlining the equipment or training being requested from a vendor who will undertake your project
• Supporting documentation to demonstrate how the community is at risk of hate-motivated crimes/incidents.
• Police report or letter of support from the local police service (if applicable)

Applications can be submitted any time through a continuous intake process. Only online applications are accepted.

Privacy and usage of your information

Information provided by applicants is subject to the Access to Information Act (ATIA) and the Privacy Act. Information provided is collected under the authority of the Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness Act, S.C. 2005, c. 10 for the purpose of supporting the implementation of projects to help communities with a demonstrated history of being victimized by hate-motivated crime through the enhancement of their security infrastructure. The information collected in a CCSP application will be used, and may be disclosed, for the purposes of assessing the eligibility/merits of the application's evaluation. Information that is provided may be shared with external consultants, review committee members, officials in other Departments, Federal, Provincial and/or Territorial Governments or Members of Parliament. It may also be used and/or disclosed for policy analysis, research and/or evaluation purposes in order to conduct these activities.

Please note, the additional uses and/or disclosures of information will not impact your project. Should you have concerns regarding the manner in which Public Safety Canada handles your personal information, you may elect to contact the Director of Access to Information and Privacy (ATIP) at Public Safety Canada or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
