The Standing Committee on Public Safety and National Security has invited you to appear regarding its study entitled: “Assessment of Canada’s Security Posture in Relation to Russia”. Minister Blair appeared on the same topic one week ago - on June 2, 2022.

You will appear in person.
Directly after your appearance, the committee will move in camera for the second hour of the meeting (12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.), in order to consider a draft report on ideologically motivated violent extremism.

Opening Remarks
At the beginning of the meeting, the Chair will invite you to deliver opening remarks. These should last approximately five minutes and will be followed by questions from committee members. (Please note that the Chair will cut your opening remarks short if they run overtime).
Rounds of Questions
Questions from committee members will proceed as follows:
- Six minutes for the first questioner of each party as follows: Round 1: Conservative Party, Liberal Party, Bloc Québécois, New Democratic Party
- Second and subsequent rounds: Conservative Party, five minutes, Liberal Party, five minutes, Bloc Québécois, two and a half minutes, New Democratic Party, two and a half minutes, Conservative Party, five minutes, Liberal Party, five minutes.
Please note that the Chair is very strict about time allotments and will cut answers short to meet question rounds outlined above.
