This is not currently an initiative that is operational. Rather, it is an initiative that has been directed to staff within the provincial Highway Safety Division for consideration.A collision reporting centre could be established in an area of the province to provide a reporting area for persons involved in property damage collisions.
Given the resources currently required to respond and collect data, establishing a collision reporting centre would eliminate these requirements and allow time and resources to be directed to other areas.
This is an initiative that goes beyond single police agency units to a provincial government agency. Benefits would be felt across all police agencies in the province.

All entities involved would have to be in agreement to go forward and would likely require some change to provincial statute legislation.
This initiative is being discussed and is not currently in place.
This initiative, if accepted would be a combination of the two, plus the initiative has a definite operational benefit as well.
