OTTAWA, March 6, 2013 — The Honourable Vic Toews, Minister of Public Safety, today released his decision regarding the request by Mr. Yves LeBon, under the International Transfer of Offenders Act, to serve his remaining sentence in Canada.
The Minister's approval of Mr. LeBon's transfer from the United States to Canada has been made pursuant to a decision of the Federal Court of Appeal on February 25, 2013.
The Minister of Public Safety is responsible for the administration of the International Transfer of Offenders Act.
