In order to know whether the crime prevention efforts are meeting the needs and expectations of the community, it is really important to have the right level and type of performance measurement and evaluation required to properly monitor and adapt over time. Evaluation and performance measurement can range from quite simple to very complex. In the end though, having the right data gathering and analysis in place is essential for success.
