Street Reach began operations in March 2005. This program was developed as a result of an extensive consultation with community partners who were concerned with finding meaningful ways to connect with youth who were currently disconnected from supports and services. Specifically, youth who face several risk factors for criminal behaviour and / or victimization. Professionals specifically identified that they had a growing concern regarding an increase in serious addictions, criminal activity, and prostitution in the St. John's area. |
