This project seeks to reduce crime and anti-social behaviour among at-risk youth by implementing a promising program, the Youth Inclusion Program (YIP), in Ahuntsic.
The purpose of this project is to prevent participants aged 12 to 17 from entering the criminal justice system and to reduce recidivism among young people who have already entered the justice system. The organization would like to reach 60 youth per year at highest risk of committing a crime or of adopting anti-social behaviour.
These activities or programs will meet the needs of the participants and their families, taking into account their interests and their strengths, and will rely on the resources available in the community. Interventions/activities will be adapted to the participants’ needs based on gender, age and culture.
