| Purpose : |
The aim of this project is to prevent incidents of bullying and gang violence. The project will contribute to this goal by mobilizing the sponsor, staff members who work daily with children and youth, Boys and Girls Clubs of Canada Foundation, Microsoft Canada, EastLink Television, and local Boys and Girls Clubs in Nova Scotia in an effort to increase community awareness and understanding of crime prevention strategies designed to reduce bullying behaviours. This will be achieved through the development and facilitation of workshops designed to address specific risk factors such as a lack of anger management and conflict resolution skills, substance abuse, gang violence, swarming and bullying. In kind funding from the sponsor and the aforementioned community partners will complement CPAF funds. |
