Purpose : |
The Northern Alberta Alliance on Race Relations will implement Lions Quest – Skills for Adolescence, a promising program that will target approximately 42 youth, 13 to 17 years of age, from two diverse at-risk cultural populations, Aboriginal and immigrant/refugee. It will be provided within three schools throughout the school year, and will also deliver activities during the summer months. The Lions Quest program’s goal is to prevent substance use/abuse and violence. This program, designed for classroom implementation, is a skills-based training approach developed by the Lions Club International Foundation. |
