Purpose : |
This project aims to reduce community crime and victimization throughout Nova Scotia. The project will contribute to this goal by mobilizing social
work representatives in an effort to enhance their skills to recognize the diversity and transformation which is currently unfolding in our society. This will be achieved through the development and facilitation of a national conference to be held in Halifax and will include keynote speakers and workshop facilitators who are leading authorities on matters relating to crime and victimization as well as topics closely connected such as substance abuse, life skills and parenting. Funding from Canadian Heritage, Canadian Association of Social Workers, Three Ton Media, Community Services, AON Reed Stenhouse and the Westin Hotel will complement CPAF funding.
