K'atlodeeche First Nation is the key governing body of the Hay River reserve. They are responsible for the administration of the reserve, health and social services, day care, youth programs, the management of the land and resources, education, municipal services, etc.
A Program Coordinator will be responsible and accountable for the project; two Program Activity Workers will be recruited to realize the activities; Elders, facilitators and presenters from different agencies will be taking part in the implementation of the project as well. Finally, the Financial Department of the Band will be in charge of the budget and financial reports.
Therefore, Helping Youth to Help Themselves will address the needs of the at-risk children and youth by providing innovative and culturally sensitive direct interventions that will address known risk factors in a northern and Aboriginal reserve.
