Based on research completed by the IDEA through NCPC funding, gaps were identified in successfully supporting and working with youth at high risk of dropping out and those who require suspensions. This project will work to implement remedial programming and suspension-alternative programs in Iqaluit schools in order to reduce the number of students at risk of dropping out and ultimately reduce criminal activity among this group of high risk youth through an increase in protective factors.
