This project will attempt to prevent future criminality by children and youth who are pre-identified by police and Children's Aid as being at significant risk of offending behaviour by adopting an approach that has emerging evidence supporting its ability to reduce criminogenic factors.
More specifically, St. Leonard's Community Services will develop implement and evaluate a direct-service that is intended to decrease the negative factors that influence the decision of whether to commit a criminal act. In this fashion, this project will use arts-based recreation activities to improve these children/youths' abilities to be productive and safe members of society.
