| Purpose : |
The Early Gang Intervention project will support youth at risk of becoming involved in gang activity or are involved in gang activity. The project will implement therapeutic interventions for youth and assist parents through family therapy and group support in the form of psycho-educational material in dealing with the youth's choices and behaviours related to gang involvement. It is expected that this project will reach approximately 75 youth per year aged 12-18 in the Durham region that are in conflict with the law and/or at significant risk of engaging in gang activity.
