This project will emphasize community engagement, youth leadership/skill development and crime reduction in the identified areas. Building on models developed through the Halifax North Branch Library, programs, workshops and community consultations will allow us to better meet the needs of youth who face many societal, educational and recreational barriers. Key issues to be addressed through this project will be the impacts of poverty, lack of recreational resources, crime, drugs and social exclusion on youth from the identified communities.
This project will build on previous CMP funded projects, providing us with the resources and knowledge to role out the process to the community of Sackville.
