The Planting Seeds: Developing Anti-Racism Youth Trainers and Leadership project intends to provide Aboriginal youth with the opportunity to undertake comprehensive anti-racism training through educational, cultural, social and advocacy activities, develop and implement strategies and actions that focus on the social and economic well-being of Aboriginal youth in Winnipeg, and build relations with stakeholder groups with an emphasis on newcomer communities. This project will also facilitate dialogue between Aboriginal youth and their peers, Aboriginal youth and immigrant youth, and Aboriginal youth and the Winnipeg Police Service through presentations, workshops, community forums, and formal and informal social activities. |
