The project addresses key goals and objectives by building and sharing potential knowledge of successful crime prevention approaches and promoting their use among stakeholders. From a strategic point of view, the mentoring approach employed by this project will promote collaboration and increase knowledge among key, locally-based partners about what is required to prevent and reduce crime within their communities. In addition, the project will result in the development of evidence-based strategies and programs, focusing on issues such as youth and gang violence, Aboriginal exclusion and substance abuse.
