| Purpose : |
This project is for “at-risk” children (ages 6 to 12) who live in disadvantaged environments. The project is meant to address - in a comprehensive, complimentary and integrated fashion - factors that put children at risk of future criminal, delinquent and violent behaviour, as well as associated high-risk behaviours, such as membership in youth gangs. This will be accomplished by enhancing the resiliency (or “protective factors) of these children, by nurturing a positive family environment, and by mobilizing the community to offer a positive social environment and healthy activities. |
