This project aims to prevent community crime within Pictou County. The project will contribute to this goal by mobilizing the Municipality of Pictou County and the various crime prevention organizations in their area for the purpose of building a more constructive and coordinated approach to crime prevention. This will be achieved through the incorporation of a series of meetings and workshops designed to discuss and organize crime prevention integrated services. The project has the complete support of all policing agencies and has the intention of increasing support for local crime prevention efforts and reducing victimization. Funding from RCMP, New Glasgow Police, Stellarton Police and Westville Police and the sponsor will complement CPAF funding.
