This project will develop and implement circles of support and accountability for drug addicted offenders and ex-offenders who are returning to the community. In conjunction with Addiction Services, individuals in the circle would receive treatment as well as support from a team of trained volunteers. Referrals would be received from halfway houses, hospitals and classification and chaplaincy officials from local institutions. This project responds to the need to actively work with drug addicted offenders and ex-offenders in order to reduce recidivism. |
