For the multimedia component they will obtain feedback and practical assistance from youth and young adults in developing print and multimedia materials that will educate people on the dangers of substance abuse, promoting healthier lifestyles and providing information and advice on emotional coping skills. Further, they plan on training community addiction care workers so that the community can receive better support prior to abusing substances or to prevent a relapse. The RCMP and health professionals will identify the target population. The courts will also mandate individuals to attend specific training and or support groups such as 12-step programs and healing from grief and loss and there will be both self referrals and group participation in other portions of the project.
