Purpose : |
This project will assemble the factors critical to effective knowledge transfer and apply them in transferring knowledge of model and promising crime prevention practices and the tools used in their selection and implementation.
Specifically, the Atlantic Coordinating Committee on Crime Prevention and Community Safety will provide evidence of need and readiness; police and community leaders will champion the adoption of model and promising practices; the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and academics will present new tools; the National Crime Prevention Centre will provide information on model and promising programs and funding to support their implementation; communities will showcase model and promising programs underway in Atlantic Canada; evaluation will be championed as a means to observe outcomes; and provinces, particularly New Brunswick and Nova Scotia will accommodate model and promising programs in their provincial crime reduction frameworks.
