The purpose of amendment #1 is to provide additional funding, in the amount of $100,000 for fiscal year 2014-15, in order to support costs associated with the continued operation of Cybertip.ca; provide a range of public awareness and educational resources to children, youth, parents and educators, as well as provide support and referral services to help Canadian families stay safe while using the Internet; and allow C3P to fulfill its role as Canada's national reporting agency under Bill C-22, An Act respecting the mandatory reporting of Internet child pornography by persons who provide an Internet service.
