During this phase, the project will have their leaders working intensely with immigrant youth from the youth programs associated with the City Centre Education Project (inner city youth), the Aboriginal Youth Offenders Program from the Edmonton Young Offenders Centre, and the Al-Ikwan Muslim Youth Organization. Initially NAARR will provide anti-racism education educational training, but will seek to recruit youth leaders to become peer educators. Peer educators will then learn to conduct their own formal education sessions and they will also learn skills to implement in their everyday informal contacts with other youth in their setting.
