A recent review of police service models and call management suggested that use of the Internet to report calls for service was an emerging trend. This study, carried out by Research and Evaluation and Urban Policing, CCAPS, addressed these questions pertaining to e-policing: What does e-policing mean from an organizational perspective; How it is used and where; What are the challenges and obstacles to successful implementation and their impact on police services, citizens and police activities.
