Summary

"This study examines street sexual exploitation in Winnipeg. It was our objective to answer the following questions: what factors increase a person’s vulnerability to street sexual exploitation?; what types of resources do experiential participants themselves consider prerequisites to making a successful transition, when willing and ready, out of the sex trade?; how and by whom, in their opinion, are these resources best delivered? It was also our intent to give a voice to people who are ignored, stereotyped, and misunderstood by mainstream society."--Page 1.
