Summary

"In a strategic effort to move forward and improve community partnerships and relations between the Saskatoon Police Service and members of the First Nations and Métis communities, several new initiatives were undertaken in 2012. These new directives included high profile participation in the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada National Event held in Saskatoon; increased communication and understanding with relevant community partners; and new recruiting initiatives and strategies conducted outside the municipality of Saskatoon. It was a very positive and productive year and these projects will be further expanded during the course of this report."--Page 4.
