Summary

"In very rare cases, RCMP members either threaten the use of a CEW or actually deploy a device as an intervention option to control a subject. In June 2011, the RCMP provided the Commission for Public Complaints Against the RCMP (Commission) with 2010 CEW data from its Subject Behaviour / Officer Response (SB/OR) Reporting System. The present report, comprised of 9 sections, provides the results of analyses conducted by the Commission pertaining to the RCMP’s use of the CEW in calendar year 2010."--Introduction.
