Summary
The Operational Planning Section of the Victoria Police Department is responsible for the
overall administration of Special Events.
The Township of Esquimalt does not have a community event fund; policing costs are either
fully charged to the Police or fully refunded from the event organizer.
The following is the 2011 net cost of providing police resources for special events. The cost
does not include Late Night Task Force, Counter Attack Programs or Liquor Task Force as they
are fully funded on a cost recovery basis.
