Summary
The author discusses what the B.C. Municipal General Duty Police Officers and the Municipal Police Training Officers identify as the necessary pre-entry requirements for a policing career. The study was designed to obtain a historical perspective from practitioners, police officers who have recently been through the selection and training processes, as well as other parts or partners of the municipal policing community that have a vested interest in recruit selection.
