Summary
Each intervention funded by the UK’s Crime Reduction Programme (CRP) is subject to a cost-effectiveness analysis of sufficient rigor to ensure the costs and benefits of a wide range of approaches to reducing crime – from early interventions with children to new policing tactics and better sentencing procedures – can be compared. Establishment of a common currency for input measurement is needed to make these comparisons possible. This document provides guidance to the evaluation teams on how to collect and process input resource information.
