The Nogemag Youth Program will work to reduce high levels of delinquency, drug and alcohol use, school drop-out, and family dysfunction among approximately 100 at-risk youth 10-14 years of age who are members of Elsipogtog First Nation, the largest Aboriginal community in New Brunswick.
The Nogemag Project is a culturally appropriate multi-component youth and family intervention program that has been developed by local mental health professionals to meet the specific needs of that community.
