| Purpose : |
The purpose of the project is to field test a promising intensive surveillance and social integration program in two Montreal boroughs (Villeray-Saint-Michel-Parc-Extension and Lasalle). This program is intended for persons aged 15 to 25 who are involved in the criminal activities of street gangs.
The project proposes an intervention continuum with objectives ranging from the prevention to the suppression of offending behaviours, all integrated in a shared rationale where partner organizations that have to work with witnesses and victims who have current or past experience with street gangs, or are likely to have that experience, share their specific knowledge.
