The range of activities/interventions will include conducting environmental scans in each participating school to determine what drug prevention initiatives are already underway and what needs to be done and establish youth led action teams in by recruiting local youth to participate in order to increase student engagement in school substance use policies and procedures. They will develop content for and deliver the 3-day Suspension Program which will improve coordination in program delivery between schools, students, parents, teachers, and community agencies in order to deliver a consistent drug suspension program in all schools.
Activities will be focused on: Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) awareness activities, peer and family connection, conflict resolution, stress management, communication skills, impulse control, friendship/relationship skills, coping, recreational activities.
