Purpose : |
This project aims to evaluate the implementation and effectiveness of the AIDES (Action intersectorielle pour le développement des enfants et leur sécurité) initiative among 230 families where children have been exposed to multiple risk factors and who have been reported to child protection services (DPJ). Imported from the United Kingdom, it is a model that has proven itself by allowing various organizations devoted to helping children to locally share in a common interpretation and analysis of the child's developmental needs, of the parenting skills that suit them, and of the family and environmental factors likely to influence responses to such needs.
AIDES is mainly geared to children under six years old who are exposed to multiple risk factors. The family situation of children to be reached must be sufficiently damaged to arouse significant concerns regarding their development.
The interventions will target various individual, family, social and community risk factors.
