| Purpose : |
The purpose of project is to bring people of all ages together with the idea of strengthening cultural belonging, values, learning and identity through strengthening community links to service agencies and cultural exchanges, accessing mentorship opportunities, developing a media/video production and by providing traditional cultural activities such as Native arts and crafts and canoe trips. The project will also focus on creating nurturing and caring family
relationships with all family members and developing personal and cultural skills in order to reduce family violence, poverty and substance abuse as well decrease crime and victimization. Finally, this project will aim towards developing a self-sustainable family/youth drop-in centre that will be funded through community fundraising activities.
