This project is aimed to explore, identify, categorize and explain and seek ameliorative responses to the endangering and criminogenic links between homelessness, crime and victimization. The research will be conducted in urban settings in Ontario, British Columbia, Quebec, the Prairies and Atlantic provinces. This project will assist in identifying and quantifying the predictor(s) of youth homelessness, the nature and incidence of crime and victimization and the process by which the transformations occur. It will inform potential policy and program initiatives to address/remediate related victimization and crime. |
