Building on the initiatives undertaken in the past by the Community Response task force it was identified that at-risk youth require long term support to achieve their full potential. The group recommended that we augment our existing program with a Youth Outreach Worker. This is a new initiative for Community Response with the purpose of responding to the needs of students and families at risk in Tofield and Ryley. A community based, youth outreach worker will react to these needs whether physical, psychological or emotional by providing individualized support and linking youth with the resources they require to successfully live as part of the community.
