| Purpose : |
The project will establish and support a Gang Task Force that will assist area residents to reduce the threat of gangs in rural southern Saskatchewan; reduce youth use of drugs and alcohol and drug and alcohol related crime; reduce risk factors through life skills, cultural identity knowledge development, youth mentoring and labour force and school attachment skills and voluntary community service; and increase capacity and sustainability for the centre to provide a safe, supervised and structured environment for the youth and offering a pro-social alternative to youth crime and victimization. |
